Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 October 2026

This policy is for the StreamPilot Android and Android TV app (package com.streampilot.mediaplayer) and this public website.

Overview

StreamPilot for Android TV is a media player. It is not a cloud streaming service and does not sell a catalogue of films. You sign in with Plex. Library and playback traffic travel between your device and the Plex servers you already use. We do not sit in the middle of your stream, sell personal data, or use it for advertising.

This marketing website does not use analytics cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party ads.

Data on the device

The app stores locally:

Sign-in uses Plex (PIN / OAuth). The app does not create a StreamPilot cloud account. Signing out, switching user, clearing app data, or uninstalling removes the on-device session.

A Plex server on your LAN may use HTTP. That traffic does not go to developer-operated StreamPilot servers.

Connections and third parties

Depending on what you play, the app may contact:

If you join Watch Together, a relay exchanges room codes, media identifiers, and playback timing. It does not carry the video file or your Plex password. A custom relay is controlled by whoever hosts it.

Those providers receive ordinary network data (IP address, user agent) under their own policies. We do not sell that information.

Children

The app is a general-audience player for a household’s own library. It is not directed at children under 13. Plex Home PINs, where enabled, stay on your Plex server.

Your choices

Retention and security

Device data remains until you remove it. We use HTTPS for this website. Your Plex server’s TLS, LAN HTTP, and backups are under its operator. No system is perfectly secure.
